Sometimes breakfast gets boring. Try these turkey blueberry breakfast sausage patties for a nice Spring to Summer change. The combination of sweet and savory is very satisfying. These can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or frozen for up to 3 months.

Take a break from morning smoothies!

As we head into fall it's nice to have a warm and grounding breakfast. One of my favorite breakfast treats as a child was chocolate Malt-O-Meal. Since Malt-O-Meal cereal is farina-based (wheat) and is a processed food, I choose not to eat it. However, I will admit missing it from time to time.

For breakfast or an anytime snack. (Vegan option included)

Ingredients

  • 1 peach peeled and cut into bite-sized chunks

  • 1 cup coconut yogurt 

  • 2 tbsp puffed/popped quinoa

  • 1 tsp honey (replace with maple syrup for vegan option)

  • 1 tablespoon mixed nuts or seeds (optional)

Method

In a short glass layer the popped quinoa, peach and yoghurt and top with nuts. Drizzle the honey and devour!
